Sadiq Khan MP performs Umrah

Sadiq Khan MP and Minister for Social Cohesion is currently in Saudi Arabia where he is the first British Minister to perform Umrah.

London's only Muslim MP, that's right we have just one in a city of a million Muslims is also engaged in interesting discussions with the Saudi's on what appears to be their new governance structure for Mosques.

Let's hope Sadiq's impressive work is rewarded with a richly deserved promotion to the Cabinet in the widely rumoured Summer Cabinet Reshuffle. How about replacing his current boss Hazel Blears.

I was going to suggest Secretary of State for Culture Media & Sport but am still waiting for a suitable justification and the logic behind why a Tooting lad supports Liverpool.
