Further to my previous post I'm actually very saddened to see Shahid Malik suspended pending an investigation into his expenses. The Muslim community, his constituents, and the country have lost a young talented Muslim Minister who had Cabinet potential.
He made a mistake, his claims were excessive however, that seems to be the case for a significant proportion of MP's, Ministers and ex Minister's who have not resigned or been forced out.
There was no flippin, no capital gains, no moat or gardening yet Malik goes after a call from Gordon Brown.
Utter hypocrisy on behalf of the political establishment in particular Jack Straw who allowed a Muslim to be the first fall guy.
