Apparently following my previous post about the Saudi Princess (my sources claim the King's wife) it now seems there are more Saudi's in the UK Asylum queue.
Aside from the secrecy of Saudi cases, which lets be honest, is about preventing any embarrassment for the House of Saud, what gets my Halal goat is why a wealthy loaded princess who has a leg over with a non Muslim British bloke gets through the system.
However, a perhaps altogether more worthy and genuine case of a trade union organiser (Yahya Al Faifi) who mobilised BAE workers in Saudi following a dramatic cut in terms and conditions gets threatened by the Saudis, leaves the country but loses his asylum claim.

2. The horrific punishment for this sin is beyond rational human comprehension and I think death threats may be taken more seriously by the British Govt. Britain is signed up to the UNDHR therefore has a duty to award asylum to those whom they know are facing death upon return to their homeland.
You might be interested to know that the 'stoning for adultery ' verse came from the Torah but had been abandoned before Islam was born because the Jewish people found themselves precisely in the same situation - having to stone a princess because of her adultery.
Perhaps the Trade Union chap was not threatened by a death sentence, altho' I can understand his fear of this autocratic regime and feel truly sorry for him. Hopefully some other country will see fit to grant him asylum.
