According to reports, His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, provided Prince Andrew aka Randy Andy with the worlds largest Falcon as a gift "in recognition of the relationship between the UK and UAE".
London Muslim has to ask what exactly has Randy Andy done to deserve such a gift from the Muslim rulers of the UAE? Unlike Prince Charles who has spoken about his respect for Islam I cant recall anything from Andy criticising the virulent Islamaphobia that currently exists in the UK and more widely in other western countries.
As a result I say to my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in the UAE (many of whom read this blog) please start a healthy constructive debate within your countries about the role of your royal families particularly when they behave in a misguided manner. Muslims in the UK are under attack, literally being burned to death, our Mosques are firebombed, politically we have the rise of the Nazi BNP who call Islam "a cancer" without a word of support or encouragement from some members of the UK royal family and UAE sheikh's reward them with gifts.
Are they allowed any healthy constructive debate?
