Perhaps I'm being overly cynical but 24 hours ago there was wall to wall press and TV coverage of unfortunately 3 Muslim fanatics wishing to blow up innocent civilians, However, a white Nazi fanatic who in his perverted world dreamed of the return of the SS Waffen and beginning a Terror campaign based on race hardly gets a mention.
I think this is a bit unfair. He was covered on BBC News and C4 quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteTrue, he didn't get the wall-to-wall coverage of the various people found guilty or not guilty the day before, but being inaccurate doesn't do anyone any good!
BTW, you don't mention the TV news piece on the guy who was found not guilty the day before?
Also, is it reasonable to fall into line with the "looks-ist" media agenda by describing this nutter as "ugly looking"? Yes he is a weird looking bloke - but then so are a lot of people! It makes you look a bit petty to my mind. :(
