Muslim Woman Boxers to wear Hijab at London 2012

The Times has an interesting report that Muslim women boxers are training in Afghanistan to fight in Hijabs during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

London Muslim hopes that Muslim women swimmers and all swimmers for that matter also get their Burkinis on when getting in the swimming pool. Perhaps speedo can do a nifty Burkini swimming pool version.

Congratulations also to Marie Woolf for managing to get Hijab, Kabul and execution in the same paragraph. Murdoch will be proud of you. Why the Whitehall Editor rather than a sports writer pens a piece on 2012 is also surprising particularly when Ashling O Conner the Olympics correspondent, who presumably is on her way back from Copenhagen does a reasonable job. Woolf, the next time you write on 2012 do remember to call it by it's correct name which is the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games not just the 2012 Olympic Games.

  1. Idiots, you try swimming in a burka, further the wearing of a hijab, would be considered protective headgear by the IBF and thus if muslims want to participate in this type of sport, the should not expect long established rules to be changed in the name of religion

  2. Dip s**t!

The olympic boxers box WITH protective head gear as they are amateurs.
The IBF is a professional organisation. In any event the article talks of the IBA.

Are you punch drunk or just stupid?
