The immediate impact of Turkey's realignment and robustness towards the Israelites has been manifested in the Turkish media reflecting the horrors of Gaza. As a result this has panicked the Israelites into attempting to restore the relationship bizarrely with Livni who was their Foreign Minister during the atrocities, attempting a counter narrative prior to the UN Human Rights Council deciding whether to endorse the Goldstone Report.
The importance of Turkish rage cannot be underestimated because of their military prowess and growing regional leadership role as highlighted by Steve Walt in yet another outstanding article. In addition, something that has not been highlighted is the democratic precedence this sets for Arab people still ruled by Arab monarchical tyrants like the House of Saud.
