Aaqil Ahmed talks about racist reaction to BBC job

Following the nasty racist reaction to his appointment Aaqil Ahmed the Muslim head of religious programming at the BBC has spoken for the first time in an interview with the Times about his understandable hurt and sadness regarding the "distasteful" comments.

One would think from the reaction that Aaqil was about to replace Songs of Praise with Nasheeds.

London Muslim is a big fan of Aaqil who was responsible for commissioning Operation Muslim Vote something Murdoch's Times cant bring itself to mention and is an excellent example of how outstanding Muslim talent can and does succeed.
