"Allah" Bibles

The Malaysian Government has stopped the release of Bibles because it contains the word "Allah" to describe what Christians usually refer to as "God".

I'm not sure if the Malaysian Government is being heavy handed here because as far as London Muslim is concerned the more people who refer to Allah SWT the better.

However, perhaps that's being a bit simplistic and one assumes there is also considerable Christian missionary and colonial legacy that may well be factoring in the minds of the Government mindful of the possible confusion that is often promoted by Christian evangelical zealots particularly in some of the more uneducated and poorer villages.
