Difficult to pinpoint one area that is fuelling this view as it appears multi faceted from individual cultures that value a whiter skin through to advertising billboards and television that constantly promote a white blue eyed blonde vision of beauty. Moreover, by just writing this article I'm sure Google advertising will crawl the content and ensure a number of cosmetic skin lighteners will be advertised in the banners which for those of you who continue to mention it I have no control over.
On closer examination its actually rather sad that people are popping off to the plastic surgeon for a nose job or down to the local cosmetics counter for a skin lightener because in their opinion the peer version of beauty differs from their own individual perception when they look at themselves in the mirror.

And as I read this guess what the advert on the left says?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard of NoseSecret instant nose correctors instead of nose surgery?
