Channel 4 Dispatches investigates The Israel Lobby

Finally and not before time a long overdue investigation of the insidious Israel Lobby in Britain will be carried out by the Channel 4 Dispatches programme.

Respected journalist Peter Oborne will present the investigation. Full details here

  1. I have a muslim father and a christian mother. I, and my family are disgusted by the antisemitic content and flavour of this program. Shame on Channel 4 for fanning the flames of violence and Jew hatred, when we should all be working for a peaceful future, and coexistence between all faiths.

Your description above of the Israeli lobby as 'insidious' is unhelpful and plays the hate card.

  2. This completely irresponsible documentary with significant underlying insinuation achieved nothing other than to villify Israel and Uk Jews. It was not balanced or set in any context whatsoever. Channel 4 clearly do not wish to see the peace process move forward and prefer to increase tension amongst Uk citizens of all races. The media should be using its position to foster a more inclusive environment than one of exclusion.

  3. In the end the programme was a damp squib, even though it openly played to antisemitic stereotypes. It portrayed lobbying activity which was open, legal and just like other lobbying groups (for Palestine for example). Save perhaps for one thing - what other lobbying organisations take you to visit a country and let you speak to whoever you like, including the opposition ?

  4. What a surprise. When the supporters of Israel are held up to scrutiny by the makers of "Undercover Mosque", they must be anti-Semites. Wasn't every single academic on the programme Jewish? But of course, they're self-hating Jews...

  5. WOW! It's alarming that British politics has been infiltrated in such a manner. I hope this program results in further investigations and scrutiny to ensure that all parties are acting responsible and in the public interest.

... and please, please fellow posters stop putting everything under the banner of anti-Semitism. And how can such a program be an attack on the religion of Judaism. It is only but attempting to uncover the stranglehold over British politics by organisations, establishments and countries (Israel in the context of the programme) that do not have the British public in their best interest.

  6. Shows you what kind of organisations are working to influence the foreign policies of Britain so they can suppress the public opinion through buying into the Government and carry on with their atrocities and killings of innocent people over last fifty years………

  7. EVERYONE knows that the "uk" is run by a gang of craven, money lusting infidels.

The icing on the cake was when the "uk" released the bomber of Pan Am 103, on "compassionate grounds" AKA the "passion" for lybian oil contracts and money.

Any exploration of islamofascism is tarred as "Islamophobia".

The 7/7/05 bombings of London transports were "Islamophobic".
The Muslim Doctors attack on the scottish airport was "Islamophobic".
The hook handed partly blind abu hamza is "Islamophobic".
The islamists in Londonistan openly threatening the "uk" with its own 9/11 is "Islamophobic".
The islamists cursing and spitting on british soldiers in luton is "Islamophobic".

  8. Lobby is all over us now. Western civilization is at risk. How long are we supposed to grant 30 thousand to each priviledged citizen of Israel per year? Can we get back some charity from Israel - recycle - we have lots of hungry kids. I think I should become Jew, a priveledged one.
