China's PM's speech to Muslim world

The Chinese PM Wen Jiabo has sought to reassure Muslims in a little publicised Cairo speech that their crackdown on the Muslim Uighurs earlier this year was not typical of their approach towards Islam. Bollocks.

The day after the speech the Chinese executed nine Muslim Uighurs whose only crime was to express resentment that their land, traditions and religion have been obliterated through forced relocation, ethnic cleansing and social engineering following decades of Han Chinese rule. Twenty years after the Tiananmen Square massacre along with the brutal annexation of Tibet lets not be taken in by the charm offensive of the Chinese Communist Party.

His speech was given to the toothless fairies aka the Arab League the Muslim equivalent of Eurocrats, ie the Political class of self indulgent charlatans who clog up the penthouse suits of 5 star hotels enjoying first class flights around the world but in reality do piss all of note for an organisation that potentially represents a huge section of the World's Muslims. Rather than ensuring their gatherings look like the film set from a Carry on up the Khyber movie why not work to deliver a united Political strategic Muslim force.

Back to China, the Israelites have shipped all manner of sophisticated weapons to China to foster a good relationship but China wants oil not weapons. Anyway, a few years ago the Israelites screwed up over the Taiwan situation which provides a significant opportunity for the Muslim world to break the America-Israel axis and foster its own counter balance through a China-Muslim axis. However, the Arab League needs to step up to the plate and stop bickering and China needs to treat its Muslims with respect before they culturally turn West towards the Muslim world rather than East and Beijing.
