Leading Israelite Martin Bright has got wind of Abdul Bari possibly being lined up for a gong.
I've previously criticised the MCB and Abdul Bari over London 2012 and the 2018 World Cup bid however, if the story is true I am happy to congratulate an individual who has played a significant part in promoting Muslim causes over the years. However, with leadership comes accountability and constructive criticism should be acknowledged and acted upon.
My only slight quibble is how Bright seems to imply that the Govt are planning this peerage simply because they want a Muslim in the Lords after having appointed a Jew. Whatever happened to merit or am I being naive.
