The tone adopted between the two has been taken to a new level by what appears a direct threat to Saudi by the Iranian Foreign Minister to stop meddling in Yemen's internal affairs.
Militarily the Iranians can knock over the Saudis in a few hours which was highlighted by the difficulty Saudi encountered over a number of days before finally capturing a mountain from a rag tagg bunch of Shia Houthis.
However, Saudi recent history has shown that should they feel in any sense threatened by their neighbours they will not hesitate to call in the Cavalry dividing the Muslim world once again between shias and Sunnis. Ask yourself who benefits from these divisions. My advice to Saudi and Iran is pack it and stop both interfering in Yemen. For crying out loud the Hajj is round the corner.
