Iranian envoy says British Muslims must quit Armed Forces

The Iranian Envoy to London, another Ayatollah with a long name has advised/warned British Muslims to leave the armed forces.

Apparently according to the Ayatollah " Muslims are not allowed to go and kill Muslims". Interesting as this comes from a regime that has just slaughtered its own Iranian Muslims who happened to be democrats calling for the restoration of a genuine representative democracy.

London Muslim finds it interesting how certain Muslims like to hide behind our faith selectively quoting the prohibition of Muslims killing other Muslim yet history shows that biggest killers of Muslims are Muslims. The lack of self awareness within our community is amazing.

There is an interesting and rationale debate to be had about Muslim unease at joining an army that appears constantly engaged against Muslim countries although one feels a more comprehensive analysis is required

While I acknowledge in advance my slight unease at espousing a variation of Tebbit's cricket test however, the point needs to be raised about dual loyalties. How would Jews feel about a British Military adventure in Israel, how would Brits of Caribbean origin feel about us occupying one of the Caribbean islands, or Hindus feel about an unlikely military adventure against India, etc etc the list is endless.

Statistically because there are more of us and politically because we have control of the oil Muslim countries are more likely to be engaged by the British Military however, politics, race and faith can combine to raise some uncomfortable questions for all our diverse communities.

Muslims have a proud record serving the British armed forces and that should continue as we are British and Muslim period.

My advice to all the Ayatollahs in Tehran is learn from history. While one accepts you have suffered British and CIA interference in your country for decades, join the anti imperialist camp by leaving us Muslims in Britain alone and stop interfering in our lives.
