A Muslim boxer Mohammad Patel has been banned from fighting because he has a beard.
While the rule book provides an allowance for Sikh boxers a Muslim must shave the beard off on "health and safety grounds".
What a nonsense and surely common sense should prevail with the Rule Book also providing an allowance for Muslim boxers with beards.
Boxing with a beard is allowed only if the boxer has a net covering the beard!
