Once again congratulations are in order to Luton Muslims who have taken a stand against the minority of fruitcakes in their community.

As I have previously mentioned the fringe element amongst Luton Muslims is creating a backlash by what surprisingly the Daily Mail accurately refers to as racists in a very welcome expose on the vile opportunist hooligans who are exploiting the tensions in Luton.

While violence should not be encouraged against either Al Muhajiroun or the BNP one can nevertheless make it clear in other Democratic means that extremists are not welcome in our community.

Charles "creature" Moore has been at it again.

The vile Islamaphobe has on this occasion made some outrageous comments against the MCB, claiming they are refusing to condemn attacks on British soldiers.

What gets my Halal goat is if reports are to believed the BBC is offering to pay libel damages to the MCB. While in my opinion the MCB have been libelled why should you & I as licence fee payers pay.

Moral of the story and notwithstanding our proud tradition of free speech, the BBC should not provide a platform for Muslim hate mongers or for that matter any hate preacher to gratuitously offend and incite hatred.

Third of European Muslims Discriminated

According to an EU report one in three Muslims are discriminated against with 11% experiencing a racially motivated crime in the past year.

More worrying appears to be the level of under reporting as a significant number of Muslims fail to report hate crimes due to a lack of confidence in the Police.

While I completely agree with the scholars who are urging Muslims to vote in next week's elections to keep the Nazi BNP at bay, I also believe there is a link between our political inactivity in Europe and the widespread discrimination the Muslim community is experiencing.

The narrative in Europe is increasingly being set by the Gert Wilders of this world and as a result we are increasingly on the defensive. While some excellent work is being done by the EPLP to combat racism and Claude Moraes MEP has played a Stirling role in this area, Muslims also need to be engaged & proactive along with the wider Anti Racist Movement.

So, yes vote next week (Labour) but also get out to the hustings and ask European candidates of all political persuasions what practically they propose to do in order to combat the prevailing sense of fear amongst European Muslims. In addition, do also ask them what support they will provide Turkey in it application to join the EU given the perception of some that Turkey is moving away from Europe.

Gay Muslim on EastEnders

The Guardian have a scoop that EastEnders will feature a storyline about a Muslim embarking on a Gay affair.

I'm all for challenging taboos etc however, what strikes me about this story is do the BBC think this a true reflection of the wider Muslim community in East London. I don't.

Delicate & sensitive issues aside what about Islamaphobia, the stigma Muslim women face in society wearing the Hijab and the levels of racism that all Muslim's are suffering. Is this not worthy of coverage by the main soap in the country? I do hope the storyline also covers these areas.....

Moreover, haven't we moved on from the days when white people "blacked up" on the Black & White Minstrel show. Why does a non Muslim have to play a Muslim? Are there no suitable Muslim actors?

Luton Muslim Hate Preacher

I'm not one for advocating violence against anyone but I take my hat off to the vast majority of decent Muslims in Luton who have lanced the boil in their community ie "Saiful Islam".

For the uninitiated Mr Islam (real name Ishtiaq Alamgir) who spends his time on the dole is the fruitcake involved in the inflammatory demonstrations against returning British soldiers in Luton.

As a result of his actions and the tiny fraction of moronic imbeciles who follow him masked racists have also taken to the streets in ugly anti Muslim protests making the life's of Muslims very difficult.

While I in no way support either the British intervention in Iraq or Afghanistan what fanatics like Mr Islam should realise is the Armed forces were sent to War by Politicians like Margaret Moran, MP for which constituency - that's right & what a coincidence LUTON.

Ideally, pariahs like Mr Islam should be involved in something altogether more constructive like democratically getting rid of one of the country's major troughers who happens to be his MP. Oh but of course Mr Islam dosn't do democracy or voting which results in an MP who has milked the taxpayer, voted for the Iraq War and against an investigation into the Iraq War representing a large Muslim constituency.

London Muslim Police Chief Charged

Ali Dizaei the leader of the National Black Police Association has been charged with Misconduct and perverting the course of justice. On this occasion the Met appear to have taken exception to Dizaei arresting someone in a restaurant.

Not content with forcing out Tarrique Ghaffur, Dizaei also appears the victim of a nasty vendetta by senior white male officers at Scotland Yard who seem desperate to remove any opinionated non white senior officer from their ranks, particularly when it's Muslim.

Unlike some of the Jack booted thugs on display during the G20 Dizaei, who has an MA & PHD also has a distinguished record promoting diversity within the force. As a result the Met tried to previously frame him on corruption allegations and also accused him of being a spy for Iran. He was cleared in 2003 after an Old Bailey trial reinstated him and awarded compensation.

One would think the Met had more important priorities. After all some of their recent achievements after the Lawrence inquiry described them as " institutionally racist" have been:

The word tolerance often gets used to describe a state of mind towards recently arrived immigrant communities. However, I believe that Londoners have been very tolerant towards the incompetence of our boys in blue.

In order to maintain that tolerance the new Tory friendly Commissioner better get a grip. Otherwise, rather than viewing the Police with a tolerant Dixon of Dock Green image increasingly they will simply be viewed as as white men in uniform some of whom carry guns.

Following my earlier post about the difficult dilemma Konnie faces in considering when next to take her clothes off London Muslim urges the British public to support my campaign for Konnie to be the next speaker of the House of Commons.

Halal Bread

My earlier post on the possibility that we are unwittingly eating bread made from the enzymes of Pig generated a considerable level of comment, interest, and concern.

With the issue of additives in bread now firmly on the radar I thought it would be helpful if I outlined the advice from The Real Bread Campaign (RBC) and their definition of real bread.

Real Bread:

• must be made of flour, water, yeast (natural or processed) and salt (optional)
• must not contain ‘improvers’, additives or processing aids (including enzymes) of any kind
• may include other natural food ingredients such as nuts, fruits, vegetables and fats, providing these themselves contain no colourings, flavours, emulsifiers, humectants, stabilisers, fillers or additives of any kind
• must not be made only with refined white flour; stoneground white flour is permissible and higher extraction rate flours are recommended
• must be fermented for a minimum of four hours
• must be mixed, fermented and baked in one continuous operation, i.e. part-baked, bake-off, frozen & re-heated and similar products are not allowed.

While I acknowledge this issue feeds into (no pun intended) the wider debate about the industrialised nature of current food production it appears apparent that industrial baking methods which supplies 95% of the market is environmentally damaging.

The alternative according to the RBC which London Muslim supports is:

bread made with simple ingredients, no additives or
‘processing aids’ (the undeclared enzymes widely used in industrial baking) and appropriately fermented for flavour, digestibility and nutritional quality. This could be called ‘real’ bread, because it contains only what most people would regard as food and it is made with simple processes that rely on integrity, patience and skill, not sleight of hand.

He made a mistake, his claims were excessive however, that seems to be the case for a significant proportion of MP's, Ministers and ex Minister's who have not resigned or been forced out.

Unfortunately, common sense does not always prevail in society, requiring statutory legislation to step in and fill the gap.

Notwithstanding the bloodbath we helped create, the thousands of prisoners held without trial, guess what certain chicken generals seem keen to repeat a similar exercise this time in Afghanistan.

Its amazing how those that are all to keen to send other kids off to war are strangely the very last in line to volunteer themselves. The arch American Neo Con John Boulton (the one who likes a walrus) in a rare moment of honesty seemed to sum it well when he commented on his cowardly evasion of duty in Vietnam, "I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy" I considered the war in Vietnam already lost." Oh, you've guessed it, he remains a strong supporter of the Vietnam war.

When are we going to learn. What we need is an urgent Public Inquiry and the consideration of war crimes charges in order to head off yet another impending catastrophe in Afghanistan. Lions led by donkeys. Our Armed Forces deserve better and we the public also deserve answers and honesty.

The next thing they do is appoint Alex Balfour as their head of New Media. So what you may ask. Ah, Mr Balfour is the grandson of the infamous Lord Arthur Balfour former British PM who was responsible for the Balfour Declaration that led to the creation of the state of Israel. Have a guess how many Muslims Mr Balfour employs, I'll give you a clue, its below the number 1.

So what you may still ask bet they have a community relations team. Well, yes they do, but why is it their focus seems to be managing the concerns of a small minority of Zionist extremists who appear determined, at the behest of their political masters in Israel, to get a memorial built in London to mark the 30th anniversary of the Munich massacre of Israeli athletes. "The cultural Olympiad" a so called celebration of culture has already been launched. What celebration of muslim culture and civilasation is included in the plans. Have a guess how many Muslims are employed by their culture team. No more clues.

Oh, and you may know that 2012 is being held during Ramadan. Oh thanks guys, so while we Muslims will be primarily although not exclusively focused on fasting, prayer and contemplation the rest of our great city will be focused on the world's biggest sporting event in our backyard.

I'll be returning to 2012 in future posts to try and uncover what return 1 Million Muslim council taxpayers are getting from an organisation that increasingly seems to be taking us for a ride.
