Former Liverpool star Abel Xavier has reverted to Islam while on a trip to the UAE.
He joins a growing list of Muslim footballers who have reverted to Islam and follows in the footsteps of the worlds greatest footballers like Nicolas Anelka and Franck Ribbery who also reverted.
Inshallah, they will be like other high profile reverts such as Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam) and be positive role models for boys who so desperately need them these days;0)

Actually, every child born is Muslim (one who is submitted to Allah the One God). Then his parents, environment and everything raise him up on whatever religion they want. So if he reverts back to Islam, we don't say convert to islam... We always say revert to islam..
