The rise in part seems due to parental rejection once they have established the sexuality of their children and can lead to forced marriages as well as "honour" crimes.

Gay Muslim homeless on the rise
Interesting if not depressing report report about the increasing number of Gay Muslims who are reporting as homeless with leading homeless UK charities.

No, I dont believe it - I think that's spin on a different phenomenon that the news have not spotted.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows what to say to get free housing in UK, everyone knows you have to get chucked out of home for some reason or another and the government will house you FAST.
I would say that free housing is more responsible than homosexuality in this instance. Many families would rather get free housing than a mortgage.
Come on - the idea that a Muslim still living with his parents would tell them that they are gay?!No. No - cant see it happening to be honest. I'm sure it does happen - but not to the extent that it would show up on stats.
I would argue for collecting the postcodes of these so called Gay Muslims, and then actually checking if they are gay or no.
If betting were not against my religion, my money would be on the "no".
