UKIP now led by Lord Pearson a close chum of that Dutch nasty piece of work Gert Wilders appears to be about to announce UKIP's policy of banning the Niqab.
What I find strange about an outfit that seems to have a large streak of Euro-Scepticism and libertarianism within its DNA is they would continue to perpetuate ironically a European/French approach to banning things rather than our proud English tradition of Haebus Corpus and freedom from arbitrary state action.
While UKIP have highlighted some of the nonsense that occasionally emanates from Brussels, we in a UKIP governed country can now ironically look forward to Nazi Fashion Police telling woman what they can and cannot wear.

Don't be a silly fucker, London Muslim. The burka is a cultural not a religious symbol. Moreover, it's a manifestion of the most regressive, nasty form of Islam - Saudi Arabian Wahhabism, which just happens to be the ideological motor behind Al-Qaeda, 9/11 & all the other Muslim terrorist atrocities around the world.
ReplyDeleteIn the UK we already have documented cases of Muslims evading capture from the police by wearing burkas. This is unacceptable in a country at war with an enemy which has already killed hundreds on our own soil. The complete covering of one's face is the equivalent of sticking two fingers up to our society, its values & its Christian heritage. It is completely unacceptable & it is right that UKIP should propose to ban this repulsive garment. Nothing at all to do with 'Nazi fashion police' as you so absurdly claim.
You lose & deservedly so.
I first joined UKIP in 1997 and have supported it on and off ever since. Down the years I have spent many hours campaigning for it. I am incensed by this ridiculous and intolerant call for a ban on the burka. Apparently Lord Shit-For-Brains feels that it is an "affront to British values". Well, personally I think that telling people what they can and can't wear is far more of an affront to British values.
ReplyDeleteUKIP represents a vital democratic cause - that the laws governing this country should be made by the people of this country, and not by far-away foreign bureaucrats. By trying to turn UKIP into a party for intolerant rightwing extremists, Lord Moron is betraying that cause, and is also insulting the many British Muslims - including one personal friend of mine - who have given UKIP their support down the years.
If the response on bulletin boards is any guide, many others in UKIP feel the way I do. The only ones who are celebrating are a few fringe figures who would be happier in the BNP anyway. Lord Moron has made a very serious mistake.
Again, I have said this here before: ITS THE SAME AS WEARING A BALACLAVA
ReplyDeleteCome on! Why cant anyone see the blindingly obvious?!!
God! Help me! Argh! Its so frustrating - its a BALACLAVA in a different form - whats wrong with everyone? Why cant anyone see that?!
Wearing a mask, like wearing wrap around shades, say's "I'm superior to you. I can see you, but you can't see me".
