A 52 year old Greek Cypriot Bachelor who taught in East London is claiming racial discrimination because he alleges the Head refused to take action against Muslim pupils who made extreme remarks.
Nicholas Kaffirous who looks like Charles Hawtery of Carry On fame also has an unfortunate surname if you remove the ous which may have also been a cause for unacceptable hilarity amongst his pupils.
The case continues.
I know of a Muslim student attending Catholic College (for its very good education) that got kicked out for taking down crosses and burning them.
ReplyDeleteI myself taught at a Muslim school, I replaced the Christian teacher who was getting bullied and disrespected by the students. Headteacher decided they don't respect him "because he is not Muslim and therefore needs to be replaced" - which, yes I can see the sense in that conclusion - but I dont see any attenpt to make it better. This is a negative - because those kids will go on to A-Levels, colleges and Unversities with non-Muslim teachers...what happens then?
