ReplyDeleteIn some way I agree with the 2nd to last comment (Dated 26th Feb) that she is only a muslim by name. To be a muslim you need to behave like one for a start and by looking at her she doesnt seem to look like she is behaving in that way. Lastly she is not that great looking just an average looking woman.

She is still a Muslim even if she marries this Cowell fellow, although she would have broken Muslim law. her name would suggest that she's not just any ordinary Muslim but a sayyida, a direct descedent of the Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless him and give him peace, through the line of Imam Hussein! That is final, because children follow religions of their fathers not mothers, (if a muslim woman marries a non muslim her children r considered to be illegitimate)so if a man is not muslim & wants to marry a muslim woman then he must convert & be one and before u all go about bashing Islam well guess what that is the LAW standing in Islam. Whether one choses to follow this principle is their choice,afterall, but they cant choose to follow some priciples & leave out others. They dont need to answer to anybody, by the end of the day, they will only answer to THE CREATOR

ReplyDeleteaparrently mezhgan's parents hav requested that is simon wants to marry their daughter he has to convert to islam bcz there is not 1 member of their family tht is non muslim .mezhgan's sister inlaw had to convert to islam just to marry her brother were as islamicly she didnt hav 2 but her in-laws wanted a muslim daughter inlaw only so therfore simon will hav 2 convert to marry meshgan ....which inshallah will happen xxx

ReplyDeleteOkay, so all of the people who are saying that Islam is based around terrorism and other bad things. You really need to read more, and not just any source that can say whatever they want. Islam is a religion, people are people, so obviously people in general aren't perfect, and we all sin. You can't blame all actions of people on their religion. People can easily twist beautiful teachings and make them into what they want, but that doesn't mean that that's what they were truly taught. If i'm not mistaken, many, many Christians and Priests have killed people, blew up buildings, committed sins similar to what you have seen on the media, but that doesn't mean that's what Christianity teaches. So again you can't blame a whole religion for things people do. The terrorist acts were by people who committed horrible sins, and even by the book of Islam, they should be punished for it. Also i don't agree with what someone said up there about how muslims should get out of America. America is a place for freedom of religion. There are bad people everywhere and in every religion, but there is also a lot of good people everywhere and in every religion. Yes, you may see a lot about women in Islam being forced to wear the hijab/burka or being abused and mistreated by their husbands, but the thing is that the media only shows that, and that percentage is so small compared to the percentage of women in Islam who have equal freedom to men, and choose by choice to wear the hijab because they see the beauty in it. In Islam, the book (Quran) speaks down upon men who mistreat their wives. I personally am a women who grew up as a Muslim, but have both American Muslim and American Christian family. We all get along because we see the beauty in both religions. They're very similar, they both teach the teachings of Jesus. Muslims don't hate Jesus, we see him as a holy prophet, and we believe in his miracles and teachings, we just don't believe that he is God. Every girl in my family is definitely not surpressed in any way, and we all have good educations. Not all of us wear the hijab, but the ones who do, such as me, chose to wear it. So i really hope this clears up some of the misinterpretations and misconceptions that many people have.

I am a woman of Pakistani descent with the surname Ali, does that make me muslim?? Of course not!! I'm an atheist through and through and I absolutely HATE it when people assume I am a muslim without even bothering to ask me. Being born into a muslim family does not in any way, shape or form make you a muslim. There is no such thing as a 'born muslim' (in my case I have doubted the existence of your Allah/imaginary sky fairy from onset of critical thought, aged 6 to 7). So yes, please refrain from calling Mezhgan Hussainy a muslim, unless she herself explicitly identifies as such (and no, having muslim parents is not enough). Do know that assumptions people make about your religious status have the potential to greatly offend. Capiche?

2) What if she does not consider herself a muslim at all? For all you know, she can be an atheist, catholic or even scientologist.
