The Child killing scum Junaid Abuhamaza the stepfather who starved Khyra to death was not only a worthless piece of shit but also sadly another revert to Islam who adopted an interpretation of our faith that I don't recognise.
London Muslim believes there needs to some analysis by we Muslims on the small minority of reverts who like Jermain Linsday during 7/7 seem to have been inculcated with a perverted form of our beautiful faith.
In this case Abuhamaza also found time while starving a child to be a male escort yet apparently adopted a strict form of Islam in the household.
The natural father another Muslim revert while suffering from the tragedy of losing a daughter blames the authorities who clearly have a significant responsibility in not protecting Khyra. However, the Islam I follow places considerable responsibility on the natural parents to ultimately bring up their children safely.
Faith doesn't fix problems - it simply dresses existing problems in a different jacket.

Some argue that extreme religiousity is a core symptom of mental illness like schizophrenia. So are peoeple converting because they see the light? Or do they convert on the "about to pop" end of their mental breakdown cycle?
