Rasool has a prominent role within the Muslim Friends of Labour an utterly useless political lobby group within the party who managed to achieve nothing of note throughout Labour's term of office.
Chickens coming home to roost because despite the dinners Gordon Brown may have with MFL the Muslim vote is now hemorrhaging towards the Lib Dems. The problems of MFL were legendary but sadly nobody was willing to listen about how it had been hijacked by a small group of Pakistanis working in Mohammad Sarwars office rather than genuinely and transparently representing and reflecting Muslim grassroots opinion to the leadership.
