London Muslim has often been struck how quick Tesco is with the Polish food in London but have taken an inordinate amount of time to roll out Halal food in all its London stores.
While KFC seem to be encountering a considerable amount of grief with its Halal store, Tesco so far seem to be avoiding the same flak presumably because we Muslim mugs contribute to the profits of an establishment with major Israelite connections going back to the days of Shirley Porter.

That's called "market forces." Large number of Polish immigrants come over here - supermarkets see an opening for kielbasa, red cabbage, and beetroots, and thus stock it.
ReplyDeleteSound common sense.
Whereas the market for Halal food is already in the hands of local businesses in Muslim majority areas; why bother opening a Halal counter when nobody would buy from it as they've been "beaten to the punch," so to speak?
Whats the point, Muslims like to buy from their own butchers where they know the meat has been prepared in the correct way.
ReplyDeleteThis will only annoy the non muslims.
@ Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteWell, all the regular food business used to be in the hands of local businesses at one point too, didn't it?
