Sayeeda Warsi in an extraordinary attack on the 4 current Muslim MP's has claimed they "dont have any morals or principles".
Sayeeda, those in glass houses... particularly given your dubious divorce and hastily arranged second marriage.

She has a lot of explaining to do.
ReplyDeleteI think it's true, case in point Sadiq Khan
ReplyDeletewith the increasing influence of the Islamic Forum of Europe in London politics especially, who can argue against the fact that many muslim councillors are embracing and being corrupted by some very dangerous Islamic extremists who have no interest in British democracy but who just want to promote their own vile and divisive agenda. moderate muslim politicians need to speak out more strongly against the extremists who are giving decent muslims a very bad name.
ReplyDeletethat newspaper article says the ex-wife could speak and understand English, so how come neither she nor her family knew she was being divorced by the husband? it doesn't make sense. yet another case of a muslim living in Britain who has not bothered to get to grips with the English language and culture. are muslims really interested in integration, or are they just wanting to live segregated lives and benefit from all the comforts of a rich European country? if you're not interested in learning English and integrating with non-muslim British citizens then go back to Pakistan.
ReplyDeleteBaroness Warsi has made a fair point.
ReplyDeleteAs I understand it an MP in a democracy needs to be impartial in his / her relations with all citizens and to disregard the background she / he may be from. The duty is to treat all equally and fairly without distinction of culture, faith, gender or race.
I believe some older and supposedly to be wiser Muslim MPs have not acted or have not done enough in an impartial way so as to honour our country's guidelines of Race, Equality, Faith and Gender.
As for example a Muslim MP should treat Hindus and Muslims equally (after all we are not living in India or Pakistan where our tolerant ways are not practiced) and also need to encourage Muslim men to abide by our guidelines on equality and respect for Muslim women.
Britain is a nation of mixed cultures wherein all citizens expect a fair deal from citizen appointed MPs no matter where they live.
This applies to all MPs be they Hindu or Jewish or Buddhist or Chinese or Sikh or Christian. They all have a duty to run our country for the benefit of all.
