David Lister makes an interesting point that with the Spooks seeking to engage with the Muslim community why not show you don't just have to be a white bloke to fight extremism by choosing a Muslim James Bond.
While I accept that asking for a still mineral water shaken not stirred might take a bit of getting used to nevertheless, London Muslim believes a Muslim James Bond fighting radicalism and extremism would have more impact than an ageing Muslim rocker singing a few songs.

It would be interesting to see a muslim James Bond.
ReplyDeleteOthers have pointed out that the name is merely a code term for an MI6 agent, rather than a specific individual. In 21st century Britain it would be interesting to see someone non-traditional (ie. Muslim) working against terrorism and evil.
What do British muslims think? Could/would they see someone of the islamic faith working for British authorities to protect the nation as reasonable and/or plausible?
