Trousers banned in modesty drive

Once again Muslim women in Indonesia's West Aceh province are on the receiving end of absolutely ridiculous male initiated bizarre interpretations of Sharia law.

Let me get this right, Muslim sisters in public, covered, and with Hijab's get pulled up by male police officers who confiscate their trousers, replace them with skirts and get an Imam to give them a lecture on Islamic modesty.

Sorry brothers get your own individual houses in order before you start picking on Muslim sisters who have done absolutely nothing wrong. London Muslim gets fed up with so called Muslims who like the fanatical Taliban goat herders in Afghanistan seem to think Islam is about banning girls from education and generally targeting women in what is a male virility test rather than anything to do with the beautiful and tolerant Islam that the majority of us follow.

  3. Trousers banned? Surely you mean skin tight jeans. So, London Muslim, using your "vast" knowledge of Islam and the fact that you seem to love posting scantily clad women on your blog, in your opinion are skin tight jeans modest?

  4. brother you are viewing this matter with a westernised tint. This is one of the most dangerous approcahes. As muslims we know that at the end of time people will become much more acquainted with the lack of modesty, if you have heard the hadeeth of 'women which are well clothed but nude, their hair like a camel's humph, they will not enter paradise nor smell it', so becareful of what you preach. And remember that in the Quran Allah says; 'protect yourselves and families from hell fire'. Finally just to let you know that I am a woman myself and feel that we have to know where to draw the line and remember how our mother's the wives of the prophet(peace and blessing be up on him) used to dress. I also send a message to my sisters that stick to their dress code MAY ALLAH gude and protect you..keep it up and defend youselfs.
