Aquila Asia Magazine promotes Sex and Muslim Women

Generally in life Timing tends to be crucial in ones success so I will leave you to decide whether the launch of Aquila Asia magazine aimed at "cosmopolitan Muslim women" with articles on virginity and hymen reconstruction is timed to perfection given the Indonesian sex scandal or could not have come at a worse time.

Liana Rosnita (pictured) the founder who is a Singaporean Muslim married to a Swiss man has taken a calculated gamble with a magazine that promotes issues of concern primarily to women without promoting vulgarity. London Muslim finds for example the discussion of virginity amongst Muslim women brave because for those who believe all Muslims marry as virgins I'm afraid you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Clothes, fashion and lifestyle are all issues of concern to Muslim women along with faith which is why London Muslim wishes Liana and Aquila Magazine the very best. Check out their fantastic web site and decide for yourself.

  1. Someone's got to address the truth and the reality...after all...

    no one else is.

  2. I wonder how this fits in with the Muslim view that one does not boast about personal sins in order not to legitimise them by "everyone's doing doing it so why shouldn't I?" attitude?

Articles on things like hymen reconstruction are a "How to..." in acts allied to breaking the guidance of the Creator.

Some people sexually abuse children, but that does not mean that we raise the profile & make it seem "normal" in some way.

  3. To the dude /dudess above me on this comments page:

You've got to address reality at some stage if you want to maintain credibility and stay alive - you cant just stay in denial.

  5. Savage behaviour is not my reality, so projecting others' personal experience onto me & accusing me of "not facing reality" is a joke. There are many life-experiences & the attempt at positing only one promiscuous reality is what in fact lacks credibility. Diversity exists.

  6. This is ridiculous. U do not know the meaning of wearing a hijab.U obviously do not read the Quran. Y say u r a muslim if u r not acting like one.

  7. Personally I'd like to read some articles about apostasy amongst 'born' muslim women.
