Birmingham Stops CCTV surveillance of Muslims

Following an outcry over a project in Birmingham which used CCTV cameras to spy on Muslims, sense has prevailed with the project being halted and plastic bags being put over the cameras.

Fantastic work from the Guardian in the first place for reporting this outrageous infringement on Muslim civil liberties which just goes to show what the security establishment would like to get away with if they could.

  1. I'm glad the local MP has changed his anti-muslim stance and actually tabled a Parlimentary motion standing up for the civil liberties and Human Rights of his constituency.
