Halal Bacon

London Muslim has it heard it all now. You might be aware of the saying selling sand to the Arabs however, how about the the pig farmer selling bacon to Muslims.

Sadly it's true because a Coventry farmer intends to give Muslims the taste of pork by producing bacon style rashers from Halal slaughtered Turkeys.

Apparently the Pig farmer reckons there is a market for halal Turkey bacon.

  2. If it comes from turkeys - it's still turkey.
If it's nice crispy fried bacon, it came from a pig. You might make it look like fake bacon - but if it didn't come from a pig then it's not bacon.

What? Because you call a rose a lily - it's a lily and not a rose any more. Daft.

  5. I think that this is a very good idea... You can already get turkey ham, so turkey "bacon" means that those who don't eat bacon can still enjoy a good old fashioned 'bacon' sandwich!

If anybody is insulted with this, take note that you can buy vegatarian bacon style rashers. Do they take insult to this? No. If you are insulted by English farmers trying to sell you something which they think you might buy, just remember who's country you're CHOOSING to live in.

  6. Having lived in the UAE for many years, I can say that this is welcomed in the UK. Turkey strips or bacon as they are calling it will be a good option for us muslims, who can get derailed at times when it comes to food.

There is no hooo haaa about turkey bacon in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and so on to name a few, when these so called countries are much more islamic then us, so why are we making such a fuss in following with the Saudi's and UAE's etc are already doing?

    No harm in Tukery Strips.

  7. You see the problem is this post is written by someone who thinks being a muslim is growing a beard and wearing trousers that don't cover your ankles.

    1. aS sallam alaikum lolol, its funny, as long as the farmer who is farming turkey is complying with halal food restriction there is no problem, it is smoked turkey meat, i think a really funny one would be the government all becoming muslims and having loads of white muslim reverts implement true shariah not that would be interesting

  8. The person who posted the statement probably thought he would get a load of people for him but he was wrong. There is a huge market for turkey bacon, firstly up in the states and recent polls show that turkey bacon in the UK is widely asked for by muslims, halal butchers need to start the effort and start making meat more appealing like in our local supermarkets.

  9. Turkey bacon is fine, no problems there.
My issue is with take away shops giving this as proper bacon and not saying so.
If i order bacon and get turkey without being told, this is bad!
Again, no issue with halal, just tell me when I order!

  10. Freaking idiot! Stop making posts about things you don't know shit about. You don't get paid for these, and they sure as hell don't make you popular. You're giving Muslims a bad name. M. Hanif was thinking about the likes of you when he wrote Zia Zinda Hai

  11. Awesome... The only appealing thing about bacon seems the crispiness, smokiness and saltiness. If a Halaal alternative can incorporate those things then awesome!!!

We English Muslims can have a full English breakfast at last! yummy

I think a fattier animal like sheep or fatty breed of cattle would produce better bacon than turkey...

They should experiment with a few different animal's...
