Halal Makeup launched in the UK

Samina Akhter with her company Samina Pure Mineral Makeup has launched a new halal certified range of Makeup in the UK

The Makeup for the face, eyes and lips now avoids completely any animal products and is also 100% alcohol free.

Congratulations to Samina for developing a long ovedue product in the UK for Muslim sisters who can now put on ethical makeup although apparently those with irritable skin need to be extra careful.

  1. Alcohol is banned as an intoxicant, in other words the consumption of it is banned. It is allowed to be used on perfume and makeup etc. Why is there need for alcohol free cosmetics ?

  3. The difference is the implication that this make-up is halal whereas others are not. This is bidah or innovation in Islam...not allowed.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

  4. I have seen this in Birmingham and I was very impressed with it. Contrary to the information above which states it can cause irritation to skin it is actually suitable for people with sensitive skin as it contains no chemicals or fragrances which are well known for causing irritation. I have sensitive skin and that's why I used Samina Pure Mineral Makeup and I must say its been very kind to my skin and gives lovely coverage
