UK joins the OIC thanks to Sayeeda Warsi

Sayeeda Warsi met the Sec Gen to the OIC (organisation of Islamic conference) which coincided with a decision by William Hauge to appoint the UK's first special representative to the OIC.

What strikes me about the decision to join the OIC is we have just had a Labour Government who for all their words about diversity never engaged this closely with the OIC as the new coalition government. Once again London Muslim finds myself strangely welcoming this important and symbolic step by the Tories.
