Canadian Muslim women having surgery to fake Virginity

London Muslim previously wrote about Muslim women being required to get virginity certificates by their husbands to prove they are virgins

Apparently it now transpires that Canadian Muslims are having surgery called hymenoplasties to ensure the in laws don't do detect blood on the bed sheets the night after the wedding.

The irony of the story is that one of the doctors carrying out the procedures a Dr Sam is Jewish and does his work on Muslim women in secret as he clearly may have a bit of explaining to do to an unsuspecting Muslim groom who marries someone with a bit more experience than he had bargained for.

  1. I think you mean "to ensure the in-laws DO detect blood". And the whole virginity cultus where in-laws inspect sheets for blood is just too bloody icky and vile to even remotely think of accusing the poor bride of anything. Particularly since quite a large proportion of women don't bleed when losing their virginity in the first place. Shame on people who are so obsessed with other people's sexuality that they drive women to those insane measures.

  3. Yeah, that's been going on for donkey's years...and not just in Canada - they offer it in Uk on harley st too.

But before surgery, women would just time their periods, or take in a capsule of blood to spill on the sheets ...so women have been faking virginity well before surgery was even invented

  4. To the previous poster? Sorry, no, I can't agree with that at all. I think that there finally should be a notion of privacy to the brides. Whether they bleed or not says nothing whatsoever, since, as you say yourself, it can be faked easily, combined with the fact that a lot of woman don't even bleed when losing their virginity, it is time for this disgusting and debasing treatment of women to stop.
No in-law or anyone else BUT the loved one has anything to do with the sexuality of any woman.
This unwholesome interest in other people's sex lives is not only puzzling, it is vile as it destroys lives and it distracts from things that actually matter.
