Harry Potter star Afshan Azad who made all manner of honour crime charges about threats to kill by her family for having a Hindu boyfriend is now currently engaged in a desperate plea to get the charges dropped by the CPS.
The situation seems complex to say the least and worthy of a JK Rowland book in its own right. Talented and pretty Muslim girl from humble background becomes star of one of the biggest film series in the world, acquires a boyfriend from the Hindu faith, gets beaten up by family, goes into hiding in London while alleging she is under threat of death by her Dad before retracting allegations and tries to play happy families again.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter what she has done. Her brother is a coward and guilty of GBH. Six months is high but if it sends a message out to Muslim men that physically attacking women is wrong and cowardly then it is justified.
