Actually it is pretty amusing. For once, rather than seeing scenes of Israeli soldiers shooting guns or Palestinians throwing rocks or violently protesting, it's frankly quite refreshing to see a bunch of young guys dancing and having fun. How is that wrong?
Not everything from Israel/the Territories can be painted as a non-muslim/muslim, occupier/occupied, western/arab issue. The conflict is first and foremost about land, economics and resources. I completely reject the idea that being muslim makes one, by default, have a certain stance on the conflict, based on 'muslim solidarity.' More muslims are killed by muslims than non-muslims around the world; if only they were given as much airtime as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
London Muslim with a left of center political agenda but dont let that put you off.
I write about issues the mainstream Murdoch agenda ignores and more than happy to also take on the tiny minority of vociferous fruitcakes in my own community.
In addition I'm a long suffering supporter of QPR. So, a Muslim with a sense of humour
