The Jewish owned Express along with its sister paper the Star is carrying on with Richard Desmond's campaign to vilify Muslims this time highlighting a story about two pathetic loos.
Following the story about "Ethnics" increasing in the population why is it the Jewish establishment remain quiet about one of their own engaging in racism and Islamophobia. When Muslim fruitcakes say or do anything wrong we are regularly lectured by amongst others Richard Desmond's papers to condemn extremism yet are Jewish proprietors like Desmond and journalists like Melanie Phillips who write books called "Londonistan" being held do a different standard?
But "Londonistan" is a fact of life, you have taken over huge swathes of London, in some boroughs its 87% I thought you'd be very proud of that fact especially as you call yourself londonmuslim.

Put aside for the moment the headlines and consider the facts.
ReplyDeleteA council official has converted two public toilets to match those he saw at a local mosque.
This type of toilet is not at all popular with British people and hasn’t been found in this country for decades, possibly 50 years or more (I can’t remember them).
So, the council official, in order to cater for what he believes Muslims want, and indeed use as he saw at the mosque, has created two toilets that native British people will be very reluctant to use except in an emergency. He has decreased, as far as a native British people are concerned, the supply of toilets by two, and incurred an unnecessary expense.
This doesn’t sound like a good idea and it has been brought about by pandering to what (some) Muslims do, and to that extent reflects poorly on Muslims.
Whether Muslims asked for these toilets or not is another matter. I’m inclined to think the council official (apparently called Lorenzo O’Reilly – which could be a clue) just did something very stupid, though we don’t know the influence of the Muslim man who took him around the mosque.
It is a mistake to think that these toilets are still found in France. (I spend a lot of time there, half my family being French.) They disappeared except for the very odd historical rarity, long ago. And, Brits back in the 50’s and 60’s on holiday in France when you could still find them thought they were a great joke and just proved how inferior the French were (at that time!!)
Their existence also had something to do with the standard of living, modern toilets apart from being more comfortable, etc., are more expensive, and, of course, there is the matter of style of dress (which might have something to do with this ancient (backward) style of toilet being found in a UK mosque!
There is a story there and it does concern Muslims (not very favourably).
