The BBC have a very interesting article about Halal holiday's including an example of a Muslim family holiday to Alanya in Southern Turkey which appears entirely sharia compliant for the whole family where Muslim women can also enjoy the beach as they wear the Burkini.

I went to the sleepy little village of Alanya back in the '60s. There was virtually nothing there then, a beautiful natural beach, with skinny little boys in their shorts darting in and out of the water. Very few houses, pleasant helpful people, even though I couldn't speak their language. Hardly any roads, no skyrise hotels, no false palm trees, just a beautiful natural environment. But I blame the western tourists for spoiling it all, they must have every comfort and convenience, and nothing to do with nature. No one had heard of halal holidays, or burkas and burkinis back then, they were very westernised. Ataturk must be turning in his grave.

Very interesting article. Thanks for highlighting Crescentrating's services and the video as well. The article and the comments I have seen in BBC still highlights the misconceptions and mis-understanding of Muslims in general and Halal (friendly) Travel in particular. I just posted an article in our blog (crescentrating's blog) to explain what this is about. We will continue to do our best to promote Halal Friendly / Family Friendly travel and thanks for your support.
ReplyDeleteNot only the Muslim families spend their holidays in beaches and resorts only, as many families on holiday in mountain resorts and other places with lots of greenery and natural beauty.

Last year I went on holiday with www.CrescentTours.co.uk The resort was 5*, the women's complex was excellent. Some of the women wore westernised swimwear as well and some wore the full body covering. The beach was very stoney but plesant. The resort is located in a farming area and the nearest town is very small. The local rep service and transfers were excellent. Overall we had a lovely holiday. Amina, Thank you.
