Campbell's Soup the world's largest manufacturer of Soup will now be making halal soup or to be accurate have been doing so for over a year in Canada and as this report accurately highlights the reaction from Islamophobes has been nuts.
I'm not a particular fan of soup but just to ensure I annoy the Islamophobes enough I'm off to get my cans of Campbells soup.

A question LM. What does a starving pakistani eat, I'm thinking of the flooding there, if he hasn't any food? Does he starve to death because the food delivered by humanitarian aid is not halal? What happens when we do finally start to run out of food, which will happen with over population of the world. Do muslims/jews starve because they can't get the "right" food?
ReplyDeleteSorry another point, what do muslims do when visiting hospitals, do they refuse to clean their hands with the gel provided as it's made of alcohol? Or does Ealing hospital have a special one just for muslims? Or do the muslims just say oh blow that, I'm not going to clean my hands, it doesn't apply to me, I'll just spread the germs around.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of hospitals how does a muslim doctor or nurse manage to work in one. Or come to that a muslim scientist? There are alcohol antiseptics used in many areas, as it's a pure spirit.
And what happens when an alcoholic patient arrives in A&E do muslim medics refuse to treat him/her as he/she is contaminated with alcohol? The list is endless, do muslims refuse to do all sorts of jobs that are against their faith in this country?
Why should there be one law for a small minority when the majority of the public in Britain do not agree with your halal/kosher methods?
Now tell me why you are special and should have more consideration than any other religion in Britain.

ReplyDeleteI don't think you're a bigot but i do think you have been influenced by islamophobes. Some "lateral" thinking and you could have answered all those questions yourself.
If someone doesn't have food and is starving can they eat non-halaal? Of course, if you're starving and desperately in need of food. That's humanity.
Muslims don't need the "right food" - at school i ate vegetarian. We can adapt! Now there's more halaal food. Why? Simple economics; supply and demand. Oh by the way, everytime you tuck into a curry or kebab, be aware that 99% of it's halaal - don't see EDL complaining when they are stuffing their face!
Hospitals? Do you know around 20% of doctors in this country are Muslim?? And do you know 80% of A&E intake on Friday and Saturday nights (and therefore a drain on our resources) are alcohol related? But don't worry, Muslim doctors STILL do their job. Why? Because saving a life is if it's saving all of humanity in Islam.
Muslims do the jobs they have to do. And if they don't like a job, they move. My company recently was brought over by a spread-betting company. I moved to another job, which was less pay. I did what i had to do.
There isn't one law for us. We're just getting equal laws. Before there was hardly any halaal food. Now we have option to have halaal or not. Just like you do. That's being equal, not preferential treatment.
That's what humanity is about

ReplyDeleteYes I eat vegetarian if there's only halal on offer, I can't stand the way you cruely kill animals, we used to have an humane society here, but not anymore, you've seen to that. I'm very careful where I buy my meat now, I wouldn't want to eat halal, and only go to a small local butcher. And I always ask if they sell halal, and never eat in any fast food chain anyway, so I think I'm avoiding it on the whole. Much like asian people I cook all my own food.
I agree with you about changing companies I've done the same, I'll only work for manufacturing ones, can't stand all the paper pushing for nothing.
I also agree about the drunks in A&E, but I'm much harsher than you, I don't think they should be treated, it's their problem if they drink too much.
It also annoys me no end that we take muslim and come to that other poor countries doctors away from their country of origin. How dare we, we already have 450 patients per doctor, but some poorer parts of the world have a thousand or two thousand to the doctor, what shits we are!
I find it strange how you all rave about your right to your lifestyle, in a country that was never muslim. Would any muslim country change to allow christians or other religions to fully be involved in their own religion, or public life, I don't think so. I haven't noticed many english people in pakistan or saudi in high office or positions of influence.

India with its spices, beautiful scenery, was indeed a good country before Britain raped it. Britain better accommodate for those lives and countries they ruined. Everyone has a problem with halal and kosher chicken? What about feeding meat to herbivorous animals...hence the mad cow disease! What about cloning animals?
