A blind American Sister, Mona Ramouni has to use a guide horse because her conservative Muslim family refuse to allow a guide dog in the house which they consider unclean.
While one has enormous respect and admiration for Sister Mona you do have to wonder about the ignorance of some Muslims in her family particularly in exceptional circumstances such as these or as Sheikh Ibrahim Mogra has ruled an "urgent practical purpose"

If you know anything at all about America you know that exceptionalism is Job One. If you know anything at all about Jews you know that most of them highly value a good Education and they understand they wealth that can be had in Knowledge. Education is a very very high priority for Jewish families. Many who can't think on a more understanding plane assume that success for Jews comes through deceit, theft or unethical acts and they take that as the truth without question all too often. With a diaspora that is more and most educated, they are bound to be more and most successful in their educated endeavors as opposed to those who are not. Do not blame the Jews for your inadequacy as a people.
ReplyDeleteIt is not their fault that your religion does not allow you to think critically or question what you are taught. Thinking outside of the box that you have been put in (more likely a cage) will never come to you as long as you are all born into a narrow mode of thinking and continue to teach it to your children.

I don't think a dog would make any remarks about the cleanliness of the house. Dogs are very polite animals. However, there'd probably be difficulties in house-training a horse.
