Ever noticed how the English like to make out they love animals and it is only "barbaric" Muslims or Jews who carry out "inhumane slaughter" without stunning or the Japs who continue to Whale that show cruelty to animals.
You do have to admire the hypocrisy of until recently the Fox Hunting English who show rage towards Mary Bale for putting a cat in a bin and anger towards Halal slaughter but remain silent with some notable exceptions about their biggest sporting pastime Angling.
Lets be clear, their is irrefutable evidence that Fish feel pain yet, notwithstanding Catch and Release, the English who get on their high horse about Halal, manage to continue the charade that fish "don't have the brains to recognise pain" despite the fact that they have pain receptors like Humans.
I wonder if the animal lobby along with their new found mates in the EDL will join London Muslim in a campaign to ban the barbaric "sport" of Angling in order to highlight how their selective campaigns are not based on race, or prejudice but actually a genuine concern for the welfare of all animals which the Con Dem Govt through its latest policy has shown is a bit of a farce.

It's the pot calling the kettle black.
ReplyDeleteIt has never failed to amaze me how people can stick a live lobster, who has lived it's last hours with it's claws tied up in elastic bands straight into a pot of boiling water: alive. The lobster will fight to get out of the pot, but they will whack the lid on a let it it boil. No remorse. Zero.
Another one that really upset me was Fois Gras - goose, that has had corn forcibly forced down it's neck so it tastes nice.
And don't even get me started on Veal - literally, a new born baby animal who is kept isolated in darkness to prevent it from developing muscles and so make for better meat, and killed at just a few weeks old.
Japanese catch sharks, cut off their fin and throw them back into the water to die slowly and painfully.
Tuna is caught at the expense of dolphins who get caught in their nets.
It seems that the most expensive, most high class meals actually require lengthy torture to make it to that £50+ a piece mark at the fancy restaurant.
Yes, we cut the animal's throat. But once we've done that we eat every single part of it. We don't dress it up with colourful herbs and sell it for a ridiculous profit for our cruelty.
Muslims and Jews kill the way we do for the remembrance of Allah, and for feeding the hungry.
Not for a vulgar profit in some pretentious restaurant.
And I won't even get started on the sweatshops and starving villagers that make up the rest of our produce, and the millions of animals and habitats that have been destroyed at the hands of profit. Animal testing for make up.
The list is endless.
Remember Herr Hitler the great vegan & his concern for the poor suffering animals ;).
