Australian Muslims have been offended at the mural of a Niqab which has a strike symbol and the words saying "no to the burka".
The libertarian in me says people should be free to say or do whatever they want want within reason and without inciting however, the language and tone is rising on all sides of the debate so free speech runs risk of one persons right to offend could lead to a slippery slope and the law of the jungle with provocation and reaction on all sides.
More generally the narrative in Australia seems to be sadly mirroring the American/ European discourse and attitude towards Muslims are not helped by cases of Muslim school Directors being found guilty of fraud.
What? More muslims offended? How shocking! Why don't you all just be honest and admit that EVERYTHING about Western countries offends you! People are really getting sick of hearing about every little thing muslims get offended by! How about if we, the infidels and non-believers of islam, turn around and say WE are offended that you are offended by every little thing!? You're all so nitpicky and annoying!
