ReplyDeleteAssalam alaikam, i usually like your blog but i don't like the way you highlight these women. Who cares if she has a tight dress? She is not a role for a muslim women if she dresses like that so why give her your blog space. If you and other brothers want a good old look then start a blog called 'muslim women with hardly any clothes on' because us sisters don't want to see it. Fear Allah.

ReplyDeleteI'm simply trying and struggling to highlight that Naz of all people seems to have her seasons all wrong by wearing summer clothes in the midst of a freezing winter.
That's not true is it LM, you can't deal with seeing your "Muslim sisters" dressing like Western whores.
ReplyDeleteIs she even a practicing Muslim? If you want to live in a country where people get punished for not dressing appropriately why don't you move to Saudi Arabia? It will of course happen here eventually but you will be dead by then.
to those people who think its ok for muslim women to dress up in mini skirts and western clothes then why not get your mothers and sisters to wear the same, forget about hijab forget about islam just go round to the local pub on a friday night and get drunk and sleep around just like the locals do, you guys can be like the westerners because thats what the westerners want, they want you integrated but at the same time i think men are also not exempt and its hypocritical for a man dressed in a suit to spout islam to a woman dressed in a dress.a man should provide an islamic example and dress in islamic clothes then he can rightly criticise a woman for not covering up but our men alas all too often wear western clothing and expect there women to dress islamically.It isnt really fair and allah is never unfair.
ReplyDeleteHello . there is no much thing thing Muslim dress . there are guide lines . field a man he must be covered from the navel to the knees and for 100 a female fully covered in loose clothing with the hair covered. it always makes me laugh when asain men wear Arab thobes and think its Muslim dress. its not its Arabic clothes for men wear.

I have served in the middle east and the Gulf and found that there is another endemic fault with a lot of the populations there, that Is Graft and Corruption! Bhak Sheesh (if that is the way you spell it) is everywhere! And the arcane laws of Shariah that are applicable only to the poor and lower middle classes are easily ignored by the rich! Incidentaly have you ever heard of or read of,or seen in the media a report of an Imam or Mullah leading by example and becoming a suicide bomber! It looks to me as a dispirited observer of the disease called mankind that there will be global conflict between east and west in the not so distant future! The Quran says a woman should dress modestly, which it is modestly, its only a cultural thing that makes you want them dressed head to toe in a Burkha, and also do the elderley men who marry 14 year old brides, so they can hide their depravity.

This is why people like you should not live in this country. If your not happy with the way someone looks them go to the countries where you like the way people dress.

As an intelligent person which puts me beyond any silly concept of commenting on others based on who/what they worship, I did not notice her religion. I think she lights up my morning breakfast and err thats it.

Its some of the backward muslims that only have a view like this. She is an individual and as long as she doesn't infinge on others what does it matter??? I am roman catholic, but I might have very different views to all their teachings and to other members. That, my friend is called democracy.....
ReplyDeleteDemocracy is not a tradition is Islamic countries though. Right or wrong they have their standards and are welcome to stick to them. I only get pissed off when anyone, Muslims or otherwise, come into my country and expect me to abide by their standards. If they can democratically change the standards, fair enough but otherwise, if they don't like it then they know what they can do, either put up with it or find a society that fit's their values and move there.
ReplyDeleteIs she actually even a Muslim? She does have a Muslim sounding name but I've seen some of her tweets referring to sunday roasts and drinking champagne so I don't think she is a Muslim. She does a good job in delivering the weather, that's what matters!
ReplyDeleteShe was prob bought up muslim but that dont mean she follows it. Turkey is a muslim country and some of my friends are turkish and they dont wear the veil, dont pray, drink occaisonly etc. but then thats like alot of Turkish ppl..she is gorgeous though

ReplyDeleteWhen you see comments like these I begin to wonder, I work in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh to be exact and the it is getting a little westernised. Women are seen uncovering there faces, these unfortunately is not the case in the UK, where the full hijab is prevalent. We do get the Mut awah asking westerners to cover there hair but not much else. I do not believe Nazaneen is muslim or else she would wear long dresses and cover her arms.

ReplyDeleteA disgrace, I agree. She should be wearing less. She seems like an intelligence, vivacious and a warm woman and it doedn't do any harm that she happens to be beautiful. Whether she's a muslim or not doesn't matter, she's independent, has her own life and is a successful woman. There's nothing more attractive than that. A kafir like me would gladly have someone like her as a partner. You're only as much of a man as the kind of woman you wish to have. A man who seeks a weak and servile woman with no 'bite' is not only weak but laughable.

even if she is muslim its up to her how she what she wants to wear, she is having her own test and will ask for forgiveness in her own way. if it is haraam for her to drink champers and wear short skirts, it is equally haraam that i missed fajr prayer every day this week but i doubt somebody would advertise the fact that i missed prayer online for the world to see.
for me the fact that a muslim female has succeeded in this country is doing much more for peoples perceptions of islam then someone who sits at home with their head covered sponging off the tax payer!!! (sorry for the generalisation at the end)
let her and everyone else wear what they want and do what they want to do, theyll have there own judgement, yes you should spread islamic values, but by insulting somebody live on the internet is NOT ISLAMIC!

ReplyDeletehaha firstly she isnt a muslim. she only has a muslim name. and secondly dressing islamic doesnt mean wear a hijab... dressing in an islamic way is to cover up and not being revealing, therefore wearing jeans dresses suits ("western" clothing) are okay as long as they arent revealing.

It appears my comments don't warrant an airing on this site! I can't say I'm surprised,Islam has a very thin skin along with the righteousness of its religious hangups! I wonder at the lack of condemnation from fellow muslims and more of a concern,the lack of condemnation in the media from the Imams/Mullahs who are so voiciferous in condemnation of the unbelievers standards/morals!

I believe that the majority of Gaza's population would dearly love hostilities to end,as it is unwinnable by either side.
I can see the end result of a concerted 3 front attack by Islamic forces on Irael. The Israeli's rather than be driven into the sea would unleash

Targets? You can safely say in order of preference it would be (my guess/opinion) Mecca,Medina,Teheran,Bagdahd,Cairo,Amman,Damascus,Tripoli and
anywhere else they feel there could be a military threat! I think they will have the arsenal and delivery rockets to do just that! They might go down
but they would take everyone with them! The middle east would be a radioactive wasteland! The old proverb - Those who live by the sword! Die by the sword!! Jabari is one example.
I see the escalation of tit for tat attacks between Hamas and Israel is, as foreseen, and forecast! Every one wants hostilities to cease but, no one wants to be the first to stop the rockets/shelling and bombing! Why on earth isn't there a time given by the so called peacemakers, adhered to by both sides, when the attacks would cease! Any violation after that timed cessation by either side would ,right away, condemn the guilty party as not being honest in their protestations that they wish a truce and for peace to resume.

How about the endemic graft and corruption that is everywhere in those benighted countries suffering under Sharia Law! A law that is not all embracing as many immigrant workers in the Gulf States will testify. The shooting of a schoolgirl in Afghanistan because fought the Taliban dictat of no education for females! Does that story fill you with pleasure ? The pleasure of the total control over females, whether they like it or not!
DeleteOf course we in the West have seen senseless killing too! Northern Island to name one place! I have no doubt white Irish you will probably be living in the UK and possibly drawing benefits on which to live! The English in the 19th century and before had a lot to answer for I know, that however was well over a hundred years ago and we ,the stupid English, have tried hard to rebuild our reputation as a decent Country. And, seeing that we have about 6 million immigrants here now we must have made some progress! There are at least 3 million of the Islamic faith living in the UK. If only one in a thousand was a diehard radical terrorist that would mean there are likely to be 3,000 such people at large in this country! Add the still disaffected 'Irish' freedom fighters and you have a couple of hundred more.
One thing I have noticed is that 'Disaffection with the state and or the people and their way of life in the UK, does not stop these terrorist minded individuals living on the benefits and in houses supplied by the very state they wish to destroy!
I, who have served in Egypt, Libya ,Bahrain and Malaya in my times abroad have seen nothing at all in the Islamic faith to convince me that it is the one and only 'true' religion! I choose anonymous to put a name to this diatribe because I know
that the faith is full of hotheads! Who's only answer to questioning or criticism is violence!!!
In order to tell us about the weather, nazaneen does not need to sell her self as a sex symbol or toy. In this current climate women are already stereotyped and used and abused by most advertisements. The media also play a big part in womens exploitation. Nazaneen will eventually at some stage change her preference for what she wears when she aspires to contentment of the heart in line with islamic ideoligies. let us not start to judge or label others. pray to the Almighty for everyone to succeed and follow sunnah.

Can the Pakistani Taliban not accept that a democratic vote will elect them if the population so desires, or, not as the case may be.
To 'bomb' ones own preferences onto the population is out and out TYRANNY and I'm sure that Allah would NOT look favourably on the perpetrators of such calumnies! If there is such a being as an omnipotent god he/she/it must be heartily sick and disgusted with the evils practised in the name of the god by the disease called humanity!
