Bob Lambert writes an outstanding article in the Staggers about the rising hate and Islamophobia in the UK.
A number of issues highlighted by Bob Lambert and his team of researchers at the Uni of Exeter will be raised at a conference on racism and Islamophobia in London on 11 December which has a number of a shadow Ministers and Ken Livingstone speaking and is well worth attending.

They overwhelmingly say it’s rubbish.
Just clear something up for me. What exactly is wrong with Islamophobia? After rational critiquing of the Islamic religion, it is quite possible to dislike it, as it is possible to dislike Christianity, Judaism, Fascism, Marxism, Zionism, Objectivism and any other man-made ideology that serves the interests of only a powerful few. That's my prerogative and my right. So what exactly is wrong with that? I agree, that hating Muslims for the fact of being muslim is not right, but why is it so wrong to hate Islam itself?

ReplyDeleteIslamophobia! Essentialy and simply it means fear of Islam! Why would or should anyone fear the religious beliefs of another,unless,that belief is
ReplyDeletebased on information gleaned from the media in today's world and as likely,historical accounts of the collision of Islam with Christianity in the middle east and europe and the Hindu/Buddhist beliefs in the far east.
The past is the past and should not colour the thoughts of today's people,however, Islam,although professing to be the religion of peace,harmony and goodwill to all,denies this with the voiced and obvious hatred of the 'unbelievers'! The celebrations in the destruction of the twin towers by islamic jihadists, of millions of muslims around the world gave lie to the profession of peace and harmony.Add to this the suicide bombers who's minds are turned by teachers of the Koran; Teachers who are brainwashing children and young people to commit act of barbarity more suited to the tyrants and despots long ago! I have yet to read or hear of an Imam or Mullah lead in this barbarous act by becoming one himself.
Islam ,it appears, is bent on world domination through the spread, by whatever means is needed,be it the pen or the sword. The sacrifice of a young life to kill and maim either people of another branch of Islam or people of other religions barbarous in the extreme!
Justification for such an act is against the tenets of civilisations pst and present. To blow up a twelve year old boy pushing a barrow containing a bomb to kill a couple of soldiers by a button pusher some hundred yards away is execrable in the extreme! This by the way did happen in Afghanistan. If Islam has a hell it must be overflowing with execrates!
