The Philippines was recently rocked by an appalling bomb blast on a bus in Manila leading to a number of fatalities with the state security establishment true to form immediately laying the finger of blame at Muslims fighting for freedom and independence in Mindanao. Reuters like AFP are also running with the Govt line on Muslim responsibility.
However, while allowing themselves to be prostituted as mouthpieces for the Philippines Military security establishment, what both news agencies failed to report was a clear and unequivocal denial of responsibility by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front who condemned the attack as "Satanic".
LM has previously highlighted how the Philippines Supreme Court scuppered a peace deal that would have established an Independent Mindanao for Muslims so what a coincidence that a bomb blast is timed to perfection to coincide with new peace talks that have only recently been agreed and which the Philippines Catholic Military and Judiciary oppose.
