Perhaps as an indication of the growing Muslim influence in Russia an Islamic TV station is set to launch in Feb according to the Chair of Russia's Council of Mufti's which will be aimed primarily at Russia's Muslim youth.
Following the hugely successful visit of President Dmitri Medvedev to the Palestinian Territories where he announced Russia's recognition of a Palestinian state perhaps Russia recognises its previous tragic mistakes following their disastrous and horrific wars against Muslims in Chechnya and Afghanistan.

Russia has a bigger percentage of Muslim population than India but not ethnic Russian. The occupied Muslims where treated appalingly under communism and previous Russian monarchs even a genocide in Kazakstan (never reported) and recent Chechnya. I cant help but see this channel as a mouth piece to the devils that rule the roost such as Putin.
