A Tory Christian evangelical Councillor in Portsmouth Malcolm Hey stormed out of a council meeting in protest at an Imam offering a Muslim prayer.
What LM finds interesting is that this disrespectful fool is also a member of the Religious Advisory group which promotes inter faith dialogue in a city sadly showing increasing hostility towards Muslims with one Mosque having a poppy daubed over it.
Hey who is single and lists his interests as founder of a Bapitst Church said he would do the same to Buddhist and Hindu's "because they don't worship the same God as us" although he would not walk out of a Catholic or Jewish prayer.
Hijab tip to the excellent Yasin Rahin who responded by regarding this as a "host who does not know how to treat a guest" but nevertheless still invited Cllr Hey to read a Christian prayer to Muslims. Personally LM would afford Hey the same courtesy he extended to the Imam and also walk out if this evangelical Muppet accepted the Invitation of reading a Christian prayer to Muslims.
