An Immigration Officer who has been described as a "legend" was sacked when managers discovered he placed his own wife on a "terrorist watch list" to prevent her returning from a family holiday in Pakistan.
While there is a serious point about how easy it is for anyone innocent to be put on a terror list, LM finds it hilarious that the wife, who was prevented from boarding a return flight in Pakistan because she was on the list, immediately phoned her husband expecting him to resolve the situation. However, her husband who by all accounts appears to have had "the time of his life" during her absence managed to keep her out of the country for over 3 years because he simply did not like her.
Just wonder if his in laws ever managed to get a visa to visit the UK and this sounds like a job for Lord Ahmed who might want to establish if its another Pakistani arranged marriage gone wrong.
