Fashion designer John Galliano appears to have done a Mel Gibson with a bizarre anti Semitic rant in France and as a result has been arrested. No truth in the rumour he wants to design French prisoner uniforms.
LM finds the hypocrisy of France glaring where they can have laws that understandably protect Jewish citizens from racism however, it remain perfectly legitimate and legal for French politicians to ban the Niqab.
With Muslims in France facing growing discrimination when is anyone going to be arrested for Islamophobia which ironically seems to be official state policy.

What a Dorian Gray. Your ugliness is revealed. Dressing, designing, and being around beautiful people doesn't make you beautiful, John.
ReplyDeleteAs several Muslim countries also ban certain forms of Islamic dress, it is hard to understand why France is necessarily being hypocritical in this instance.

ReplyDeleteThe hypocrisy is because France claims to be treating all minorities equally, while in fact the actions demonstate the opposite i.e. Jews treated to exceptionalist protection, while Muslims are witch-hunted.
"Muslim" countries banning Muslim dress is a unbelievable!
So according to that logic (i.e. "if they do it to themselves , why can't we"), just because Europeans kill European Jews, why can't Palestinians? See, it is more subtle than that kind of "logic".
Hilarious. "RESPECT US!" you plea. Respect the French traditions. Look up the concept up laicité. Maybe the Niqab can work in a US city (laughable), but it should probably stay where it belongs: Afghanistan and Saudi. - Live From Egypt, NOT LONDON LIKE THIS FINK
