LM has made clear my opposition to our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which is why I refuse to wear a poppy and while happy to salute the gallantry and bravery of British soldiers sent to war by B£iar one must also oppose the glorification of war which has seen British soldiers die and kill innocent Muslim civilians.
There is a difference when fruitcakes burn poppy's and gratuitously offend or abuse returning soldiers and those who take an honourable stance opposing illegal wars which after all is how the Vietnam War was brought to an end.

For precisely as long as you and your sympathisers treat the society you live in with such disrespect, insulting and belittling the values it holds dear, you will collectively find yourself treated with disrespect and marginalisation in return.

ReplyDeleteThere are those who are stuck in the 1950s, thinking that brown-skinned people with funny names & religions should not be see or heard, upsetting the apple cart.
This is integration i.e. becoming involved in the issues of society.
